    This is some of the general feedback we have recieved about the expo - 8th September 2012.

    FROM VISITORS:

    87.5% took a showbag

    87.5% took information from sites

    50% purchased from a site

    37.5% plan on contacting a site from the day

    50% plan on contacting/purchasing from a company within the showbags

    And only 12% said they were only there to look.

    FROM EXHIBITORS:

    78.6% are wanting to get information for exhibiting again next year

    53.3% thought the public were very interested in their stands

    "The event had a lively warm, friendly, vibrant atmosphere - we loved it!"

    "Well done girls. You did an awesome job and was very pleased with the advertising."

    "Look forward to seeing you in a bigger venue, with more room for pushchairs and carparking. Also if you are in a bigger venue entertainment ideas that were happening outside could be moved inside."

    "You girls did such a huge amount of work. Great that you came around and spoke with all of us exhibitors. Very unusual."

    "Thank you for your enthusiasm, energy, organisation, and professionalism. We were first time exhibitors and had a great day!"

    "Thank you very much for your hard work, on a nice day this would of been a FANTASTIC event."

    "I felt in general the organisation of the expo was very well done, and there was a good atmosphere."

    We of course also recieved some feedback on things we can work on - and we certainly will. One such thing was the lack of entertainment for the children. We had a bouncy castle, horse and cart, interactive sports and music planned but due to the weather warnings weren't able to do this. The larger venue next year will allow for everything but the horse to move inside if necessary!

    Carparking was an issue mentioned by both exhibitor and vistior alike - the new venue has masses of carparks.

    Having the exhibitors split over the hall and marquee had many feeling that the expo was "broken" up. Having the larger venue means we can have everyone in the  one place.

    Despite a heavy advertising campaign we did have some feedback that people didn't know where it was or when. We feel this will be solved with the new venue being absolutley synonomous with expos in Nelson. This year we advertised heavily on the radio, 200 plus posters, billboards, car signage, facebook pages, school newsletters, The Leader's 3 publication, The Nelson Weekly, and The Nelson Mail, It's On Website, This Website, Eventfinder website, 100 posters sent to exhibitors, mainland tv, the living channel event guide, plus our personal business pages.

    We will definitely have more billboards professionally printed this year, and move the advertising out earlier so there is more coverage of the events. As always we value your input! Please do just message us.
